shareI'm glad you said it . When I watched this again yesterday, during the scene when Jim proposed to her, I was thinking about Holiday Affair.
I was also thinking about Holiday Affair the other day when The Switch (2010) was on, with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. I swear it's a remake of Holiday Affair, but Holiday Affair wasn't given any credit. There's even the scene when Bateman is basically doing what Mitchum did -- professing his love for a woman in front of her boyfriend and family members.
