The constant whisper talking is completely annoying. It's not sexy or whatever its supposed to be. It made me think this girl is doing a very poor imitation of Lauren Bacall.

i have to agree--her whispering isn't sexy or enticing; it's just irritating. Lauren Bacall's voice was low and sexy but still audible.
shareI hadn't noticed any whispering; not on the part of Ms. Scott nor any of the other actors. What I heard, I thought, was her regular speaking voice; the way she speaks in every other movie I've ever seen her in.
It's also possible that Scott, like a lot of women of that time, used a breathy manner of speaking, like Marilyn Monroe, particularly when they were playing roles that called for them to be seductive.
