TV Judge shows

I love watching tv judge shows like People's Court, Judge Joe Brown etc.

When people bring cases involving house remodeling and they complain about how long it took and what went wrong, and this happened, and that happened, the people should be required to watch this movie before they bring their case.

Hopefully after seeing this movie they'll realize things aren;t so bad.

I think you're right. My boyfriend recently helped me fix up my house so I could sell it and he inadvertently broke more things that then needed to be fixed, than things that needed to be fixed in the first place. Putting in a new garbage disposal flooded under my sink. Fixing a faucet on my shower ended with drywall in the laundry closet having a big hole in it. Fixing the vent on my dryer made it so I couldn't use my dryer whatsoever.

It's also to be remembered that Mr. Blandings had a steady, good-paying job as an ad exec at a time when America's economy was starting its boom after WW2. He had a lot more earning power for his time than most people do today. But yes, there are too many variables in home construction or repair for things to come out perfect. It's an unrealistic expectation. Although, to the above poster, I think it's very possible to fix more than you break. Hah.
