Need a little assistance (Spoilers herein)

So I rented a copy of "Key Largo" and got to the part at the end where Bogey's waiting for Robinson to come out on the boat for the final shootout. Then all of the sudden my tape became crappy. And now its f*cked up my VCR. So if anyone can fill me in on like the last five minutes of the film that'd be great, because I can't even find another copy of it or anything. I'm left hanging here.

Thanks.

Here is the conclusion from the point your vcr ate your tape...

Rocco tells Frank he'll split the money with him. Frank remains silent. Rocco says he'll throw out his gun so Frank will know he's on the level. But Rocco actally throws out Curly's gun. Frank remains silent. Rocco slowly and cautiously comes out keeping his gun hidden at his side. But Frank can see the hidden gun from his view on the roof of the boat. Frank shoots Rocco. Rocco falls but trys to reach up to shoot back. Frank has to shoot him two more times to kill him. Frank crawls down and makes a call to the coast guard or somebody saying he's heading in and in need of medical help. Then he asks to be put through to the Hotel Largo. Back at the hotel Nara is sitting on the floor next to Dad Temple. They're both just sitting with their heads hanging, drained from the ordeal when the phone rings. She very slow gets up and goes to the phone, amazed to hear Frank on the line. We don't hear Frank; she mainly nods and says okay. She goes back for Dad Temple and tells him "It's Frank! He's alright and he's coming back to us." She opens one of the storm shutters as the sun brilliantly shines in which washes white to... "The End"

I think they should have followed it up with Temple and Nara meeting Frank as he returned in the boat with him all bruised and bloodied from fighting the villians.

Hey Kurt-27, thanks so much. I feel resolved now.

**SPOILER**

While Frank is on the roof watching Rocco slowly coming up the stairs (while promising him everything in the world), Frank has the greatest expression on his face. He remains so cool, calm and collected . . . it's one of my favorite parts of the movie.

yep. very cool.

Where there's smoke, there's barbecue!

just a little point but when Nora opens the blinds at the end of the film there is a shot of bogey steering the boat toward home, with a look of satisfaction on his face!

a bit nit-picky i know but mebbe important to some!

yeah it was sorta weird. it seemed he was definitely shot, but they never went anywhere with it.

And then of course there is true love. Don't go away! It exists or I will make it exist.
