It is a great line, though. 'Me, who gave him his public! All wrapped up, with a neat little bow!' Reminds me of Will Rogers saying only bootleggers vote for Prohibition to continue--a topic they bring up more than once. And very relevant in this age of the 'War on Drugs'. Yes Virginia, the reason Prohibition lasted so long was because gangsters paid politicians to keep it going. Really.
Politicians and gangsters sure do spend a lot of time in bed together. Must have some things in common...
