My TiVo ended right where Jean Arthur and the Colonel are driving up to the Lorelei, and the MP tells the Colonel that "There's been some trouble going on. Make way for the ambulance." Then my recording STOPS!
Can someone tell me what happens after that, please? It's probably the last five minutes or so of the movie.
go to TCM.com... bring up the 1948 version, click "Full Synopsis". LOVE it when she reprimands the Colonel in his office, and she leaves, so he flips her off by scratching his nose with his middle finger... it WAS Billy Wilder....very smoooooth....
shareI have noticed that before and just thought he was making an odd choice of fingers to scratch with. (I'm a little naive). But now I see your point. Wilder was outrageous! You have to love him.
