I just watched this for the first time and, as a fan of Wilder and Arthur, really enjoyed it. One unexpected bonus: more location footage than you'd expect. Having recently visited Berlin, I was fascinated by the views of the devastated city and such landmarks as the Reichstag.
shareI was very interested in the shots of the ruins of Berlin. The terrible consequences of Hitler's madness. It really makes the film fascinating that it was shot on location. Marlene Dietrich and Jean Arthur were terrific. If never seen the film or even heard of it. Once again, thanks to TCM.
