I thought his '40s and early '50s toupees/hair pieces were actually good, IMO. It's later on when they became quite obvious.
No blah, blah, blah!
On the distaff side, Milland's piece is not quite as bad as the wigs worn by Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity and Judy Garland's in Meet Me in St. Louis.
