According to IMDB John Ford's Version is the 6th Version of the same story.
Today everbody complains when somebody made a remake of a 20 year old movie.
Anyway IMO a great and underrated movie. John Ford Movies are so beautiful it hurts.

Someone told me "Ice Age" is also a remake of this wonderful story. Granted it's not John Ford & it's animated, but it worked for me.

shareI absolutely agree about the beauty of John Ford's movies. The man knew what to put in the frame, and where to put it. Plain and simple, EVERYONE else is an amateur at framing a picture compared to John Ford.
