The duck at the very end

That thing is MOTORING across the pond. Not sure if that's a mechanical duck or not. If it's real, it's the best and most energetic animal actor in film history.

I gotta check this out! I love the pond/swimming scenes. They obviously used additional lights and reflectors, but sure makes it shimmer in a perfect way for these scenes

i've seen quite the few movies where the animal gives the best performance, this was shot the same year as my favorite performance by edward g robinson, his portrayal as rocco in key largo "what's worse... a dumb bell or a wise guy?", that movie has one of the greatest dialogues i've ever come across, about this though, this was like a horror movie, and it seemed odd to see an actor of this stature in it, but it was a neat flick after all, i always connect the title to that of a john lee hooker song by the same name, he recorded at least two different versions of it, also funny movie title considering it's in black and white. notice how much his hair have changed at the outdoor scene.
