WHEN WILL Nightmare Alley (1947) BE AVAILABLE ON DVD, VIDEO, etc. ?
I haven't even seen it on TCM or AMC. This is Power's greatest film, but where the hell is it? With the missing reel of The Magnificent Ambersons...?
shareHello- A few years ago, I asked about this movie being released on video at a video store in Seattle called The Maltese Falcon. The owner of the store told me that there was litigation between the estate of either the man who wrote the novel Nightmare Alley, or the screenplay, I can't remember which. He told me that's why it is not shown on television anymore, either. I know it was shown on TV when I was younger ( I'm 44 ), and although I have never seen it, my friends saw it years ago on late night TV. Maybe you can find a copy on e-bay- that's where I'm going to look. Good luck- I heard it's a great film- TJT

June 7th. Also, the Fox Film Noir series has been really great as far as transfers and extras go so far. Very cool.
