This may not be word for word but I think it's pretty close:

Interesting. Thanks. I also got this bit from Wikipedia:

"some unscrupulous Connecticut traders would whittle "nutmeg" out of wood, creating a "wooden nutmeg" (a term which came to mean any fraud)"

Funny how the term seemed to be clearly understood from at least the late 1800's to at least 1947 and is now (as far as I can tell) meaningless.

may i recommend the non-fiction book 'Nathaniel's Nutmeg' - while not related to the movie, it IS about the history of the nutmeg/spice trade, and is very interesting...
