I think that this is a fantastic picture with alot more to it than meets the eye. It's much deeper than just a simple working class love story, and Litvak's sets and scenes are marvelous.

Yep, it's really good. It's nice seeing Henry Fonda loosen up a little for a change!

I agree. It's an excellent film, and there is a lot going on in the writing! Much more than meets the eye.

Yes, it deserves more recognition. I never heard of it until I happened to have TCM on this afternoon, and I wasn't disappointed.
