But according to Barnes Noble. It's a pan and scan, not a widescreen release. I was about to order it but I don't like pan and scan. I'm going to hold off till the reviews are out.

Please, wide-screen didn't exist in 1947, so it's not pan and scan. It is released the way it was shot.
