Enjoyable B Noir
The movie is enjoyable enough, with a good cast and competent cinematography, but two things bothered me:
1) Jane Adams's character "Susan Marlowe" wasn't really relevant and it felt like her story was supposed to have more importance but was cut short;
2) I kept waiting for Wolcott (Harry Cheshire) to have a fundamental part in solving the murder, maybe because his earlier scenes gave off the impression his observant nature and natural skills were very good.
All in all, it's worth a look.
