'Postman' dialogue at end of movie

I read the book, and honestly, I don't remember Frank saying anything about a "Postman ringing twice" at the end. Did I just miss it, or was that something they added to the film?

And wasn't the note Cora left for Frank something along the lines of, "I know you're going to kill me?" instead of the sappy note she leaves in the movie?

frank doesnt' say anything about the postman in the book...i think it was added because no one would understand the title and the metaphor unless it was explained in black and white to them. and as for the note, the DA just says that it's good enough for the confession, so i think cora just talked about what they did to nick and how she's going to kill herself.
