What was in her hand? (Spoiler alert)
Near the end of the movie, when Nick saves her from drowning and they're driving, the car careens off-road and they get into an accident. Soon after we see something in Cora's palm. What was it?

shareIt was the lipstick case she had used just before the accident.

Maybe Cora dropped the same lipstick she'd dropped in the diner the first time Garfield & the audience saw her.
shareIt was the same lipstick. The lipstick is used to introduce them to each other and it also marks the end of their relationship. The first lipstick scene is incredibly sexy on both their parts. It marks the beginning of a relationship built on lust. It also marks the end of that fatally flawed relationship. It is a really great use of such an ordinary little thing. But the fact that it is a lipstick also adds to the sexiness of the movie. It would not have worked so well with a pencil or a coke bottle (or some other small rolling thing).
