This isn't exactly your typical Rosza type movie to score. Music is sparingly used in this type of film, but Rosza's dark brass scoring seemed to set a standard for other film noir scorers ever since.

The Main theme was later used on television as the theme for 'Dragnet'!

Just watched this film again and you are right on. I recognized the Dragnet Theme especially when the hitmen tried to kill Edmund O'Brian.
