Rita Hayworth
I have had a thing for her since junior high - she was so incredibly gorgeous and talented.

shareHow old are you?
share48.
shareI have become interested in her after I have seen "The Shawshank Redemption", which happens to be my favorite movie of all-time. I have seen "Gilda". It was a great movie. It would have been better if my favorite movie of all-time if it was entitled,"Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption".
shareI have always wanted to see 'Gilda' and finally got the chance to yesterday! I cannot stop singing "Put the blame on mame'..BOYS!

That's funny! Same here!
Sad that she didn't sing the song though...
When I first saw the one glove striptease I immediately watched it again, i was floored! I didn't even know it was a famous scene until after watching it! I can see why!!!
I thought she was singing when I watched the movie! She did a great job lip-synching and certainly fooled me!
I love that scene, too, especially when those men hurry to the stage trying to un-zip her dress! Men can be so shameless!

How'd you know she wasn't singing?
Commentary...?
I'm sad, I thought she was even more remarkable with that voice. Even her speaking voice is off the hook.

Check out the imdb entry on Hayworth. The information is there. She never sang her own songs.
shareI read (or in his bio TV special) somewhere she did sing, but they cut it out. She was unhappy they did this as she practice etc...
shareAt 52,I agree. But they shouldn't have dubbed her voice,if they did.
