first of all i want say that i really like the movie.
there's a small detail though which i might have misunderstood.
she said that she married with ballin to make johnny mad-sad-angry... (you know..) but how did she know that johnny was working with ballin in buenos aires. ballin and then later gilda said that they happened to get married two days after they met. so in these two days, ballin told gilda about johnny farrell.? is this the answer? hmm, i think two days is a really short amount of time to tell someone the names of people you work with. but yeah, ok, i'm just being critical...

i thought she did know. she at least had some idea because the look she gave johnny when he walks in was more of a "well well well"! she also says to johnny "ive heard alot about u Mr Farrell" so the assumption that Ballin spoke about johnny was there....yes she married Ballin on the rebound, but i also think she married him because he was connected to johnny thus making, what she thought,the perfect revenge!

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Ballin said that he bought her and that he make up his mind right away so there wasn't time for him to talk about his associates. I don't think that she knew where Johnny was.

I'm pretty sure she was saying that she got married on the rebound to get back at Johnny. It happened to be to Ballin, who she did not realize was an associate of Johnny until they "met" at Ballin's house.
