The empathy of the weak female mentality that would allow her sympathy to override logic is disturbing on so many levels. This type of mental disease permits brutish oppressors to continue their reign of ignorance over others. Even if the bad guy loses in the end, he has already acquired numerous willing women along the way. While she is waiting for the good guy to come along and rescue her from the circumstances of life, that she is unwilling to change herself, so many women stay with the bad guy it is pathetic. The acquiescence to power is all to real in the species of human and has been represented quite well in this movie, even though much of it was exaggerated.
