In the showdown Jennifer Jones is riding on a horse with no lipstick on. During two close-ups, when Jennifer shoots at Gregory Peck, she has red lipstick on.

They cut a scene where she applied her lipstick while riding to the showdown.

I just watched it earlier tonight and with my high def 50" TV I can tell you that you are wrong sir. The horse definitely had lipstick on...
