This is a charming movie and stands up well despite its age! The copy they're showing tonight is a restored version and it looks great. Also it was directed by David Lean so it's very well done.

I'm reliving that wonderful experience of this show. Great cast and I thought Ruth was amazing!

Yes! She is terrific. But, my favorite is Margret Rutherford as the medium. She was perfect in that.

Yikes!!! Ben Caesar? YOU'RE the one that got himself in trouble on IMDB (on IMDB v2.0 there's a long thread about you..I';ll keep it confidential to avoid arguments between you and them.) I'm surprised, you don't come on as bad as IMDB v.2.0 says you are.

I know! I love Noel Coward and this is a good production of his work. Next up-Fallen Idol, which I consider a masterpiece.

I became aware of Margaret Rutherford because of this movie. She was great here and as Miss Marple. Later she did a one-time show where she went and investigated ghosts in old homes. Disappointed I missed Blithe Spirit last night, but maybe Sling's TCM will have it on demand. Edit: It is on demand now. I watched it tonight....I'd seen it before but forgotten how much black comedy there was! Must have been shocking at the time.
