Kay Hammond (Elvira) was horrid!

She was not at all attractive and the way she talked (sort of a twisted Thurston Howell III) was very irritating. And of course I couldn't understand a word she said.

What is it about the name of Elvira? A lot of films I've watched lately have a character called Elvira in them. I like that ghastly green hue that seemed to light up the Elvira in 'Blithe Spirit.'

She wasn't very good looking, at least with that makeup and hairdo, but totally hilarious! I loved her performance.

I thought that she was quite charming and I loved the way she spoke. I had no trouble at all in understanding every word she said.
