Janus 50 Years, 50 Movies, 50 BLOGS

Hello to anyone who reads this.

I am a comedian who has a background in film, and I have purchased the amazing box set of 50 Years of Janus Films, and in homage to it I am watching one film a week for this entire year. Obviously I'm only a short way in so far, but it's been a fun ride already, regardless of the fact that I've seen a lot of these films already (but a great film should be viewed countless numbers of times, right?)

Anyhow, I thought it would be interesting in addition to watching these films to write reviews on them, the way that I wanted to write them in college, but because most of the film instructors I've ever come across are snooty and too defensive of the films, I didn't want to receive a bad grade.

They are humorous reviews (or at least attempt to be) in a way that tries not to disrespect the film. I do not write them with ignorance, I do my research on the film, the importance in history, the filmmaker, as well as any other criteria that may be of use to understanding the film, then with the knowledge in mind I write the true impressions that I got, that I wasn't able to express in film school.

To be redundant, it is with respect and homage that I poke fun at these films (or at least the critics that take them too seriously at times) and provide a more laments perspective on them. The reason I'm posting this here is because most of the people who read my BLOG now haven't seen the films and I feel that reading the reviews would be lost on them. So I figured I'd go right to the source and throw it out there to see if I got more feedback.
