A great performance by Dorothy McGuire that deserved the Oscar.
Joan Crawford was good in "Mildred Pierce", but not this good.
And Peggy Ann Garner will always be remembered for her great performance as Francie Nolan.
McGuire and Garner at their very best make this a re-watchable classic for me.
