Criterion or Anchor Bay?

Hi, I was wondering what the difference of the Criterion dvds of Rebecca, Notorius and Spellbound is compared to the Anchor Bay Entertainment release, is it a major difference? Thank you in advance.

There is a small difference. There are no extras on the Anchor Bay releases, while the Criterion DVDs have some extras. The transfers are both acceptable, but the Criterion has a little polish.

Both companies DVD's are out of print, and are a little expensive.

go for the criterion. more expensive, but worth the extra cash for the superior extras and overall presentation.

I've been buying Criterion releases scince the early days of the old laser-disks. Criterion products have ALWAYS been far superior to any other company. Criterion's price has always been higher than others, although the difference in price is not as great with DVDs, as it was with Laser-Disks...
