Some cool camera work

I know hitch was a master with the camera in all his movies, but i really liked some of the shots in this movie. The shot through the milk glass was cool, as was one of the last shots when the camera is looking down the barrel of the revolver. The red muzzle-flash when he kills himself at the end was a really cool touch as well, since it was the only color in the movie. I also liked the whole dream sequence that was designed by Salvador D. Very cool stuff. The shadow of the wings chasing Gregory Peck was almost Pink Floydish. Any-who, super good movie. Didn't leave much room for discussion, but, does anyone else have any thoughts?

Yes great camera work. The constant opening doors one after another in the beginning was nice. The dream sequence with the eyes made me cry, because it was so terrifying. That was more of Dali's surreal genius, than Hitchcock's, but Alfred was the one who pushed for the hiring of him. I wish they extended the sequence and cut out the narration, that was would of been sublime.

Milk glass scene was great, panning across with gun-in-hand at the end was nice, and then the gun turning on itself was fantastic! Too bad the movie wasn't as good as the cinematography.

I liked the scene with the cards face down, both the hands and the camera approaching the Dr. Also the last scene where Bergman starts to explain to him why he won't shoot her, slowly moving towards the door while the gun is following her.

The dream sequence was a pleasant surprise.
Especially the casino scene which reminded me of Lynch, the overall atmosphere had this smell of lavishness and decadence fuelled with cards. Then again it felt like Dali was restraining himself.(Looking at his earlier work)

Although the movie was disappointing, some great scenes plus a beautiful Bergman made it worth for me.
