What's so bad about 'psycho-babble'?

So I finally saw this film and loved it. Afterwards I was reading what people had to say about it and was shocked about how many people either hated it or considered it a lesser Hitchcock. The main problem people had is they said it had too much "psycho-babble". Well first of all there wasn't that much and second of all I found it interesting enough. Did anyone else love this movie?

My three favorite films (order changes): Vertigo, Taxi Driver, and 2001: A Space Odyssey

The problem with it is that here it´s depicted in a preposterously naive and oversimplified manner. It really doesn´t work like that you know.
