Every time she put those hideous things on, a beautiful woman suddenly became a mirror image of Moaning Myrtle. I truly hope they were burned after the movie was completed.

You must be why every sitcom has an episode where there's some "ugly" girl with glasses, pulled up hair, and an oversized shirt. Will she get a makeover and be beautiful? Of course she will even though minor details don't change what should remain obvious.
Anyway, she was beautiful without the glasses and even more adorable with them.

For the OP, I agree those glasses were pretty bad, but scarcely did anything to hide Ingrid's beauty. The funniest was when the cops drew specs onto the photo, as if they couldn't recognize her without them.

You know, I always have trouble picking a movie to watch at night, but I saw this thread earlier and the prospect of seeing Ingrid Bergman in glasses made the decision easy. I'm glad I watched this as it was highly entertaining, and Ingrid looked even better than ever every time she put her glasses on.
To the OP, a couple of other movies you should avoid are Suspicion and The Big Sleep. To everyone else, enjoy!

They were obviously introduced in order to make Bergman more dignified and seem more legitimate as a psychiatrist. Well, it didn´t work any better than similar moves generally do in pornos; she still came across ridiculous as a head shrinker. And gave a rather poor performance in general - as did Greggary Peckary.
