Thats the irony he was not that tough. When push came to shove Edward G Robinson was tougher. Even in the scene when he thought Kit was being mugged, he truly bested Johnny. Johnny was more of a bully to me that cowered and hit women.

That line right there is one of the awesome ironies from this film.

Because in the end...that is exactly what happened.

It did seem hard-hitting... of course, about a minute later he does kill Johnny, indirectly... such irony, it's fantastic.

Loved this movie.
