Noose
I highly recommend "Noose" aka "Loop" ("Petla"), 1958, which is a Polish answer to "The Lost Weekend". It is not easy to find but really worth seeing. There are some similarities between those movies but because it was made in Europe not Hollywood, the subject is dealt with different approach and the ending is much better.
