A classic

Hugely influential... it's style..as well as it's stories have been copied for 60 years...a true gem of supernatural..& psychological horror. Dotted with bits of marvelous British humor...its series of 4 creepy, spooky vignettes woven into a genuinely engrossing and ingenious plot...including a wonderful and now famous, critically acclaimed performance by Michael Redgrave...is a must see for lovers of great films.

I heartily agree. Great movie. I recognized the plot from "The Hearse" as an episode of the "Twilight Zone" TV show. Also, there was an episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" that involved a malevalent dummy and a glass eye that was very scary. I think, a very young Cliff Robertson starred in it.

This is the Alfred Hitchcock episode: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0508296/

It doesn't have Cliff Robertson (he was in the Twilight Zone episode "The Dummy"), but it does have William Shatner.
