That's exactly what I was thinking about too! And the whole ventriloquist case was similar to Norman Bates' story, starting with the two bizarre cases of jealousy that get the murder going, and ending with the madman (or well, possessed man) being completely taken over by the second personality (the one projected outside, on a humanoid thing - the dead body of Mrs. Bates respectively Hugo the puppet).
