Uncredited kid who plays Francis Kent

Anyone know who he was? He was excellent. (I particularly liked the spooky way he said, "goodbye," as though he knew exactly what he was doing and what Sally's reaction would be when she learned the truth.)

I doubt we will ever know. There's nothing about the boy in Dead of Night's production notes in BFI's archives, and actress Sally Ann Howes doesn't remember his name.

How ironic for him that he's world famous, but nobody knows who he is. A kind of contradiction in terms.

Mention in cast list of Barry Ford - minor role, uncredited.Twelve at the time. Could it be him?
