Am I the only one to think Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons is based in part on the character of Renard in this film? The physical and vocal resemblance is uncanny.

i just finished watching the film And i can see a few things they have in common , its a possability well spotted

I grant you there are resemblances, but physically, Comic Book Guy was based on Ralph Bashki.

I said on another thread that the Walter Brennan character reminded me of Grandpa Simpson. What can't The Simpsons do?
