Peter Lawford ever in this movie?

I'm 54 now & have been watching this movie during the holidays since childhood. Just watched it tonight for first time in long time. I thought for sure that Peter Lawford played the love interest of Judy Garland's character! I could swear I remember him in the movie. Am I thinking of another movie with him and Judy?

You're thinking of the 1949 version on 'Little Women'. Great film, and a similar set up.
