Laura is not alluring
...I don't get it. After "meeting cute", she became take bitchy. I didn't get the appeal. And her boyfriend were singularly unattractive and unsexy.
shareI don't think Laura's nor Det. McPherson's roles were very convincing. Laura has to shift emotional selves too often, and her love interest with McPherson really seemed relatively unconvincing, out of place, and too stark.
Wd be much better if Dana Andrews got to play this role straight up as a crafty detective working on a very challenging case. His assigned role just muddies the waters--because there is no outsider objectivity.
