And this came directly from my college professor. Quicksand is very different from the quicksand often portrayed on TV. A person won't sink past your waist. Also. the Frankenstein monster is very strong and would easily be able to pull himself out of the quicksand. Its a plot hole here and in every other movie where a person is drowning in it
