Peggy

Peggy took course in Domestic Science and worked in the a Hospital for two years. Exactly how old is Peggy supposed to be? I think seemed she was to young to drink or her parents want sober so she could if they both drank. Did she take the course at college or in High School? Was she as a candy striper or a training nurse or a nurse?
The sharecropper who had been a Seabee was married, with four kids, no collateral, and just wanted to have a farm & got the loan for it. How come he didn't sound southern?
Would Al drinking aventually have curb his drinking or become an alcoholic and either died young from cancer form drinking and/or smoking or lived til his 70s or 80s after getting help?
