Piano Song?
What is the song that was played on the piano at Lady Delroy's party?
I know there was two songs, but what are they called?
The first piece was the 1st movt of Beethoven's Sonata in Cm, op.13 (commonly known as Pathetique).
The second piece was Chopin's Ballade No.1 in Gm, op.23.
Yep.
Even if a viewer doesn't know classical music well, it's clear from the cut and the change in music that time has passed.
But, for someone who know those pieces, it's even clearer, since the Beethoven is long, and the theme we hear from the Chopin comes up several times in the piece, including rather late in it.
It appears, from his behavior, that Anton/Bauer is searching for a way to get her out of there, through all of that very long time. He knows he's safe while they are listening to the music, but he doesn't want her to socialize at dinner, and he wants her to make a scene and appear insane.
But it turns out that he's as obnoxiously, frighteningly prepared as always, since he has planted his watch in her purse.
