Charles Boyer is sooooo good!!
I just watched "Gaslight" for the 3rd or 4th time, and I'm awestruck by Charles Boyer's performance. Just on the strength of that one performance, as the unbelieveably cruel and manipulative husband, I hated him for years.
I found it recently that Boyer was married for 44 years, and committed suicide 2 days after his wife's death. He was brilliant in this movie.
