What is the music at the beginning of the film

Just watched Gaslight earlier today and I need some help.

I want to know the name of the music, which plays about 5 minutes into the movie. Just when Bergman's music teacher tells her that "happiness is better than art," its from a classical composer but I can't figure out what the piece is. Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance and have a super rest of your day!

Yes. This piece of music is often used as the preferred "music-on-hold" option in telephone systems all ovee. And, if I remember it correctly, Suzanne Farrell (extraordinary prim ballerina under Georges Balanchine) danced to it with Peter Martins in the '70's. I think it is called "Chaconne", and here is the YouTube clip. This music is played only very briefly in the scene in the music studio of "Gaslight", but it stayed with me for about 25 years (I first saw Gskight ar a very, very young age---7 or so), until I saw a documentary of Suzanne Farrell, entitled "The Elusive Muse" ---also brilliant. (See it, and read my review if it here). When I saw the documentary, I immediately thought of the music in Gaslight, and about a month later, one of my vendors used the same piece on her mysic-on-hold.

Here is the YouTube clip if Farrell and Martins dancing.

Sorry for the typos...using my android. And, IMDB does NOT allow corrections to be made on their app. I HATE it. I don't know why, if they allow edits to be made on a desktop, they should have incorporated an "Edit" function for their android app.

I'm frustrated by the mobile app because you cannot activate a link north and you copied pasted.
