Saw this last night in theaters. Any chance you were also at the AMC Empire on 42nd?
shareSaw it yesterday at AMC Burbank 16. 2pm showing. They screwed up somehow and couldn't scan the online ticket at the gate and put us in the customer service line. Had to wait 15 minutes before we could go in and missed Robert Osborn's pre-show pitch :(.
I was with two friends who don't have TCM so I wanted them to see how cool it is to hear the interesting tidbits Osborn gives us at the start. Oh well.
It was GREAT on the big screen. Not sure what they did but the aspect ration seemed wider than 4x3 - without stretching out the actors and items in the frame so it filled the screen fairly well. Also, it must have been a blueray version or something as we could see with very close detail the fabric and stitching of the costumes as well as Stanwyck's incredible 'acting with her eyes'. Seeing it on the larger screen really brought that out. She was so so good! :)
Not previews folks, it actually starts at 2 so get there early!
Saw this today, July 20th, at 2:00 PM at the Palladium IMAX San Antonio. They showed it on a fairly large screen, which was a bit surprising. My twin sister and I saw it together, and there were only three other people in the theater, which was also a big surprise.
Anyways, it was a very enjoyable experience and I absolutely loved seeing this amazing film on the big screen!
I'm seeing it in Orange, CA and there are less than 20 people here. 7:09 and the movie hasn't started. It's stuck or something. :-/
