Did anyone catch the prostitute refference?

When Jackson (the witness from the train) leaves Keyes' office, Keyes tells him that his secretary will take care for the expenses, so that Jackson can leave that very day.

Keyes: He'll take care of your expense account and your ticket for the train tonight.

Jackson: Tonight? Tomorrow morning would suit me better. There's a very good osteopath in town... I'd like to see before I leave.

Keyes: Osteopath? Well, just don't put her on the expense account.

Amazing how certain things can be clearly implied, by saying nothing specific.

Love how old movies got around the Hays Code.

Haha I love that line. I caught it instantly the first time. That travelling salesman was just smarmy and smooth talking enough to be believable as a hooker patron.

I would have never caught that he meant that, after dozens of viewings. Still wondering.

What drew my attention was that the man said he wanted to visit an osteopath, and the answer came "don't put HER on the expense account" :))

Yeah, I caught it just now after viewing on TCM. I thought, "So that's what they called massage parlors back in the day." lol

Just great lines.

Another line I love is when he's taking about Phyllis and says "I had a red hot poker in my hand"
