The two characters I hated most in this movie

The two characters that I most hated in this movie were NOT the femme fatal and her lover, nor the unsympathetic husband or the moody Italian boyfriend.

They were -

Norton, the Insurance Company manager
Keys, the Insurance Claims Assessor

Norton was a money grabber, totally devoid of any humanity. His attitude towards the widowed wife was totally disgusting and his shouting at the Insurance salesman because he had recently sold a premium to a man who had since died resulting in a $100,000 claim was obnoxious.

Keys wasn't a total scumbag like Norton, but I still hated him for being a cold, calculating jobsworth who enjoyed finding ways of refusing claim payments as well as his patronising attitude towards Neff, taunting him for refusing his offer of a $50 a week pay cut to become his assistant.
