I saw this film and it was amazing. The world is so interesting when you go outside your comfort zone. I really liked this film.

It's even more amazing when you realise what they went through to make it. That island is a long way from the mainland and there was no air service available in 1936/37. They stayed on the island for nearly 5 months!

Powell wrote a book about it. It is variously called (in different editions)

BTW: The title is a reference to the amount of film used, not the height of the cliffs

It was Powell's first truly personal film and marked the end of his apprenticeship. After this he was recognised by the major producers and given his big breaks.
