Two Mistakes

I adore this film, and have for decades. Such a terrific, tight, witty script, along with
superb direction and great performances.

However, on last viewing a few weeks back, I noticed two errors.

When Mr. Dingle is getting acclimated to his room, a Murphy bed falls from the wall. This,
of course, is to indicate that this is where he will sleep, and McCrea will get the other bed.
But WHY would there even BE the other bed before Arthur decides to rent out the room? If
there's a Murphy bed, why buy the other??

Second goof: In the morning, when Arthur is leaving for work, she yells out to Dingle,
"Would care to ride?" Huh???? The night before she told him it was best that they not
be seen leaving together. Secondly, that tiny car could barely hold the four women, let
alone portly Mr. Dingle! And how would she explain that this over-sized, older gentleman
is with her and would "like to ride?"

It's just a movie.

" And how would she explain that this over-sized, older gentleman

She could say "And this is my new neighbor, Mr. Dingle". She doesn't need to say how close a neighbor!

As for errors... okay, there are two bedrooms, right? So why, after Mr. Dingle moves out, is there a scene of the two of them sleeping in twin beds in the same room?

PS: The movie is now free on youtube.

They are NOT in the same room - there's a thin wall between them and their bedroom windows are open.

And there's NO WAY Mr. Dingle would've fit in that tiny car. Connie would surely know this.
