Has anybody counted the number of women who crowd around the table at the Tap Room restaurant when Connie is called to the phone? Also, I could swear that the woman in the print dress is Joan Davis. She looks and sounds like an understated Joan, although she is not listed in the complete cast. Anybody else think it is Joan?

- the idea of 8 women for every man because all the young guys are off to war
- the taxi not being allowed to leave unless it's full
- the housing crunch in DC
- the notion of people having to go off to war and not knowing when they'll return
- the concern that people may be spies
And so on. Really nice.
