Ghost story shown at midnight tonight on Talking Pictures

Talking Pictures are showing this Ealing rarity tonight at midnight. A good time for a good old-fashioned ghost story.

I've been looking forward to seeing this mystery for some time now. A good rare chance to see Mervyn Johns and his daughter Glynis on screen together.

This is based on a 1940 play called 'The Peaceful Inn' even though WW2 is not mentioned in that play. The accidental/indiscriminate bomb that fell on an inn in the village of Cwmbach (near Aberdare) in WW2 is more significant in the telling of this story. The innkeeper and his daughter were killed by that bomb. So it's apt that a Welsh father and daughter play the leads in this movie.
